Abstract
Identifying aquatic animals and investigating their habitat conditions is one of the most important ecological researches in running waters.In this study, in order to identify the Dadin fountain fish fauna, located in Kazerun city of Fars province, sampling was performed in four seasons during 2022-23. Fish were captured by fixed fishing net and for identification transferred to laboratory of veterinary medicine of Islamic Azad University, Kazerun Branch. .The results showed that 9 fish species live in Dadin fountain that in Order of mean of frequency are: Gambuzia holbrook (25.30±1.45 ), rufa obtusa Garra ( 17.90 ±2.03) , Barbus luteus (16.04±0.76) ,Cyprinus carpio (17.89±0.45) , Garra rufa obtusa ( 14.19 ±1.04 ) , Cyprinion macrostomus (8.64 ±2.77) , Alburnus mossulensis (1.23 ±1.07), Barbells barbulus and mastacembelus Mastacembelus (0.61 ±1.22) , Barbus grypus and Capoeta damascina ( 0.61 ±1.22 ) .Also the frequency of species according to seasons showed that in the seasons Gambuzia holbrook had highest percentage of frequency.
